Welcome to 2010!
Christy and I would like to welcome you to 2010 and to our new Brooks-Yates Preschool blog! This is a new adventure for us and a way that we are hoping we can keep you better informed of what's going on in the Green and the Red room! When we start back to school on January 4th we will be starting new units in preschool. We'll be learning about the second season of the year that we experience duriing the school year, winter, and we'll discover how animals deal with the season of winter. We'll be making snow for our sensory table....it's way cool and you can buy it in a can. When you mix it up it looks like snow, feels cold like snow, and it's great fun to play with!
During the first week of January we will learn more about the letter C and we'll concentrate on positional words. We'll also be gently working our way back into our preschool routine as we all know that two weeks off is a long time! We're looking forward to great and exciting adventures in 2010!
I will be updating this blog on a weekly basis. Most likely, I will add a new blog on either Friday or Saturday so you can see how the week went and what's in store for you and your children in the coming week!
